BIO:  Pastor Jonathan Balge was born in Milwaukee, the third of four children.  After attending high school and college in Watertown he entered Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, graduating in 1987.  He and his wife Julie moved to Ashland, Ohio, serving a mission congregation there.  He also served as pastor at Salem Lutheran Church in Owosso, Michigan.  During those years they were blessed with four children, born between 1988 and 1996.

 

From 2002 to 2010 he served as a professor of religion and history at Martin Luther College of New Ulm, MN.  Since 2010 he has been here at St. Matthew and enjoys serving "our corner" of Milwaukee with the unchanging gospel of Jesus Christ.
